Alright so nothing really interesting has happened the past few days at Hollister. Unless you think that old women yelling at you over the phone and in person is exciting! This lady called and would not speak up, and you know Hollister is loud! So when you call and talk softly it's hard to hear. She finally yelled at me "WHICH MALL ENTRANCE IS CLOSEST TO HOLLISTER???" Well ma'am when you yell at me like that it doesn't make me want to tell you. But I was nice anyways because "the customer is always right"! I tried explaining to her the closest would be either walk through Dillards or Macy's to get to the normal part of the mall, then walk to Hollister. I couldn't explain to her this other entrance because it's too confusing! So I kept telling her the same thing and she wouldn't accept it, so she finally hung up on me! Oh well I tried, right? So later on that day this woman saw that the shirts below the table of shorts had a sign that said 50% off. She asked me if the shorts were also. I explained to her very patiently that it was only the shirts and I apologized, even though it's not my fault. So she turns around a snaps "Well you need to change the sign because that's false advertisement!" Well actually it's not because the sign wasn't on the table with the shorts it was on the cot below that will the shirts. I let her vent on me and walked away when she was through. If you come into Hollister and don't like the way something is set up, don't blame the managers or models. We don't choose the way we want to set up the store, home office does. We don't tell them maybe we can put this sign here and trick them into thinking that all of these items are on sale! That'll get 'em! No we don't do that, so DON'T GET MAD AT US!!! Please :).
Alright so what I've been doing the past few days is a task shift. That just means I come in and work on updating the store, changing things around, or just making sure the store looks nice. I don't do the register or get stuck in Betty's 1. So when we get new shipments we take certain things on the sales floor and move them so we can place the new items there. That's what I've been doing, oh and auditing which is just stock, and dressing manaquins which is harder because they have to look perfect and sometimes those things can be heavy! So yeah nothing exciting. Waking up to go to the mall to work 4 hours before it even opens! NOT FUN! I wish something interesting could happen so I could share it with you though! My luck I finally start and blog and nothing happens! Oh well that's all I have to say it's 10:30 I'm tired and ready to go to bed. So night! Have an amazing day, or night (depending on when you're reading this)! Bye! :)

Two In One...
Alright so not a lot really happened the first day since I started this blog, so I decided to combine two days! So sometimes at Hollister lights go out! Duh! So who gets to change them?? We do!!! So I've changed them before, no biggie! Well when I tried getting this one out it wouldn't come out! I kept turning and turning and finally it made this weird noise. Kind of like an electricity noise. And it BLEW UP! All right maybe I was just exaggerating, it sparked and sparks flew everywhere! I call my manager on the walkie talkie and explained to her what just went down. She didn't really believe me, but came to check it out anyways. When she turned it, the sparks flew at her! That was probably lame and a waste of your time that you will never get back. But to me that was scary because that's never happened to me. That's not the first time that kind of things happened! Hollister is just a dangerous place! Not really. Well let's rewind back to black friday! Duh, duh, duuummm! The scariest of all days to work. Not only were they people wrapped all around the store (to get some good deals) and people totally destroying all the perfect looking clothes, but there was a mini fire in Hollister! Yep a fire. Turns out something was missing in the lights on the magazine rack and it just blew. Smoke fogged up that whole lounge, and made it smell too. Then this guy trying to help out pours water on the fire. Really? It's an electrical fire and you're going to pour water on it? Thanks for helping, but in case you didn't know.... WATER AND ELECTRICITY DON"T MIX! They don't like each other, they're not friends so bad things will happen! We got it out and no one got hurt! Thank goodness! Okay back to April! So I can add to the list of people from other countries that I've met at Hollister! I've met people from Africa (yes I realize that's a continent), Canada eh, England, Germany, and now Belgium! Apparently we don't have Hollister in Belgium! That's was interesting to talk to her and her daughter.
Day 2: More happened in day 1 than today, but that's okay because we still have tomorrow! Which nothing interesting will probably happen then too! But I did manage to knock over the shelves and glass jars full of lip gloss on the closet. I just got done folding shirts and I touched one of the shelves on the closets (the brown things on the walls with shelves that hold clothes) and it came tumbling down. The shirts I just folded all got messed up and the glass jars full of lip glosses all fell to the floor. None of them broke, it was a miracle! My manager came running in there to see jars and lip glosses surrounding me bawling trying to pick them up and a shelf on the floor. She was like did anything hit you are you hurt, why are you crying? I told her that was the final straw I had a bad morning before I came into work and that was just the icing on the cake! I was done I just wanted to go home back to bed and blare the music up loud to forget everything that happened before work and then me almost breaking things not even five minutes after I got to work! But I stayed which was good because then really happy woman who was just so happy to be in Hollister totally made my day. She told me how much she loved Hollister and how for the longest time she thought it was a men's store, so for years until her daughter came in she had never been in there. She told me she loved the clothes and the music, that every time she came in she just waned to dance. And every time she leaves she has bags of Hollister clothes she bought. She was one of the happiest people that I've ever met there.
So that's it! I hope tomorrow or soon more interesting things happen so I can come back and tell all of you! But for now that's it. Sorry if you thought this was boring or a waste of your time, I will make it more interesting as I go! Talk to ya'll soon! Thanks for checking this out bye! :D

First Blog...
Alright, so this is my first blog.... ever.....in my entire life! So please be patient with me. This first blog is just to give you a little background info. So I work at Hollister, I've been working there for about eight months now and I love it! I wasn't going to apply there, but they were the only place that I didn't try to find a job at. I was scared I guess because at school all the popular stuck up kids wore Hollister so I assumed people who worked there were too. That's def. not true I've only met one snobby person that works in the same store I do. I've also come across snobby people at other Hollisters. It seems like the only snobby people I meet at Hollister are the stuck up girls who aren't thankful for their parent's spending hundreds of dollars on them. Anyways, I applied and went in for an interview. About a week later the manager called me and told me I got the job as a model. I was so excited, and kind of nervous, and a little scared. On my first day I met some pretty cool people. It didn't take long to pick up the folding routine and learning the register. I found it was like hanging out with friends, only you have to fold and help other people. There's music, people there to talk to. It's not like a job that you sit there being bored. There have been so many funny and interesting things that have happened at work, and I've been thinking I don't want to keep this all to myself. So this is how Today At Hollister... came about.
I got the name because everyday when you come to work (if you work at Hollister) you have to look at a poster called Today At Hollister. This is just a poster that talks about things going on that week in the the store, the plan, the LY, and other boring things that involve numbers. If you have any questions about Hollister I will answer them (if they are appropriate) and I will always keep you updated. Spread the word, tell you friends about Today At Hollister...!
